Ted Molczan's findings
- There appears to be excellent agreement between the circumstances of the observations and the decaying object.
- The time, 1800Z [19:00 hrs MET], is correct.
- Flight 603 was on heading of 100 degrees. Looking out to the right would mean looking in the direction of 1990-094C's path.
- Flight 603 reported that the object "went into our twelve o'clock and accelerated away", which agrees with the ephemeris, which shows that 1990-094C's azimuth crossed their heading (100 degrees), just before going below the horizon.
- The description of multiple lights and contrails is typical of objects decaying from orbit, and the reported single large object (which te pilots took to be a plane) and five to six lights is in excellent agreement with the sketch of what Daniel Karcher observed [7].
- The observation by flight 637C, which was heading west and saw the phenomenon to the left-hand side, also agrees very well with the path of 1990-094C.
